What is an ACT Builder Licence?
An ACT Builder Licence is issued by Access Canberra and allows you to carry out residential building work in the Australian Capital Territory.
There are different classes of builder licences depending on the value and type of work you do.
Builder Licence Classes
The ACT has two main classes of Builder Licences:
- Class A Licence
- Class B Licence
- Unlimited
- Up to $12,000
If your work value is more than $12,000, you need a Class A Licence.
